RSD London Bootcamp with Ozzie - Review
The bootcamp was an eye opening experience in many ways.
NOTE: Obviously you have found yourself on this page because you are interested in bootcamps. Before you read my review, please take the time to read this EX RSD instructors post here : Short public service announcement
I went into it more or less blind in regards of what to expect. It turned out to be a lot of seminar and 8 hours of field time. I didn’t get too much from the seminar as it was just a rehash of things that I mostly already knew. The in field time was a different story however.
The first night we hit the club, Ozzie gave us some instructions and off we went. About 20 minutes later, one of the other guys came up to me to ask me how I was getting on. Ozzie immeadiately dived in “NO TALKING!”. The look on his face said it all. There was going to be no fucking about here. I acknowledged his command with a serious look on my face, but deep inside I was jumping up and down with excitement!
What followed wasn’t really all that different from what I normally do on a night out, but with a major difference - It was literally non-stop approaching for 4 hours straight. Ozzie said that going at it like this was similar to working out in the gym and that it was purely a physical process. He wasn’t kidding I was sweating buckets from pushing myself so hard.
London Calling Buy at AllPosters.com I learnt so much from my state from doing this though. The only time my state lowered and I started to go into my head, was when I became physically exhausted. That’s the point at which I stopped having fun, and then the sets started to blow out.
By the end of the first night I had seen quite early on that I am far too reaction seeking. This is my big problem. The other is kino, but me not doing it is more based on looking for a reaction.
*even my LMR with HBTeacher was because of this*
The second night was all about kino and isolation. I spent most of the night dancing salsa with the women. I’ve learnt salsa in 2 days I swear! This was so far out of my comfort zone, the revelations came thick and fast. I was clawing girls, grinding, spinning them around…but when it got to the kiss I tended to stall. Still reaction seeking. Dammit. All the isolating I was doing blew me away. I was just dragging them around and what ever I said they did. This taught me a biiiiig lesson.
Its like the more energy I put in the more I got out, as if you could plot a graph on loudness vs female resistance, and have them be an inverse of each other. So what I got from the bootcamp was seeing what I was doing wrong. Ozzie didn’t ever tell me how to do it. He just expected me to do it. And I did, with next to no hesitation.
On the Sunday, he told me that the one thing that held me back was the inability to hold a group. I have a tendancy to find the girl that I like and stick with her. He said that the only way to sort this out, was to spend the next 2 months focusing on nothing else but opening and sticking to groups. Yes Sir!
So it was worth the money. Maybe I’ll do another one in a few years. We’ll see.
Hi there
Loved your review, I’ve just booked an RSD bootcamp in London myself so will be interested to see how it compares with your review!
Had been starting to get cold feet after reading lots of contradictory web reports, however there seem to be so many vested interests in this PUA “community” (which frankly I couldn’t give a toss about, I just want to improve my game, like most guys I guess).
Anyway your reveiw sounded honest and “real world”. Your point about “Loudness vs female resistance” really made me sit up and take notice too….
thanks for the insights
Nigel
